TOURNAMENT RULES
All games are governed by US Lacrosse rules, modified for club play, with key exceptions highlighted below.
Score and Timing
Game Duration: Two 20-minute running halves with a 2-minute halftime. The officials may adjust on-field warm-up time based on the schedule.
Clock Management: Game time and penalty time will be kept at the scoring table.
Penalty Time: Administered at 1.5x the standard time to account for the running clock (e.g., a 30-second penalty becomes 45 seconds; a 60-second penalty becomes 90 seconds).
Injury Time: If a game is stopped for an injury with 2 minutes or less remaining, the clock stops.
Injury Time: For injuries with over 2 minutes remaining, a maximum of 1 minute will be deducted before stopping the clock to assess the injury.
Timeouts
Pool Play: No timeouts allowed.
Bracket/Consolation Play: One timeout per team. Timeouts are permitted only when the team calling it has possession, anywhere on the field.
Restrictions: No timeouts allowed in the final 4 minutes of the game.
Pace of Play
Stalling: Referees will call stalling early if observed. The referee will first request “to see some offense,” then initiate a 20-second clock if stalling continues. A legitimate shot (hitting the goal or goalie) must occur before the timer buzzes, or possession will change.
Box Entry: Teams have 30 seconds to touch the box. No over-and-back rule applies until the box has been touched.
Face-Offs: NCAA face-off rules apply.
Overtime Rules
Format: Sudden victory; the first goal wins.
Pool Play and Consolation: A single 4-minute overtime period. If no goal is scored, the game ends in a tie.
Playoff Overtime: No time limit. Overtime continues until a goal is scored.
Playoff Brackets:
Brackets with 8 teams or more: Teams will play three pool play games Saturday and a minimum of one playoff or consolation game on Sunday.
Brackets with 7 teams or fewer: Teams will play two pool play games Saturday and a minimum of two playoff or consolation games on Sunday.
The 2030 Bracket had a late team addition and to avoid massive schedule changes, teams play two pool play games Saturday and a minimum of two playoff or consolation games on Sunday.

Game Ejections: Handled by referees.
Tournament Ejections: Handled by the tournament director. Players receive a 1-game suspension after 2 unsportsmanlike penalties or if involved in fighting (resulting in a 2-game suspension).
